As a man who appreciates a good haircut, when I find a good barber that’s my guy! Jose is that guy. And when I say Jose is good, he’s great! His attention to detail is second to none. He listens to what I want, takes his time and delivers every time. On top of that, he’s just a good human. If you’re in the Newport area I highly recommend getting a cut from Jose.

I always fear getting a haircut from places I am not familiar with . Since I am in Newport for a Navy school I didn’t want to take a chance at the exchange and found this shop. I have to say Jose gave me one of the best haircuts I have ever had . His attention to detail is phenomenal. The shop itself has a good atmosphere and made me feel like I was a repeat customer. I enjoyed talking to Jose and will definitely make sure to go back l.

Jose has been doing my grandsons hair for 19 years. We have followed him around until he opened his own shop. Always does a fantastic job. Shop always clean and staff friendly,
Ledimir Nunez — 5/5 (via Google)
This was one of the best barber experiences I have had, not just in Newport, RI. Scheduling with Jose was a breeze, and I showed up early and it was a nice, chill, barbershop environment. What stood out the most was how clean they kept the place, and how clean Jose individually kept his area. This is the sign of a true professional. Jose was very meticulous when cutting hair. He really cares about the details, and I don't think I have had as good of service since my childhood barber. The price was fair, but please leave a generous tip, as barbers of this mold are increasingly hard to find. A side-note, the barbershop was running a food-drive for local charities and offering a free haircut to the raffle winner. These are signs of businesses that need your support. In Summary, Jose is a top-tier service-man and you will be grateful you came to cut your hair here.

First time getting my haircut on the island. This place is the spot to go! Great guys working there. Super happy with my cut. They even gave me suggestions on what type of haircut to get. Will definitely be making this my summer time barbershop! I only live here in the summer or else I’d go here year round. Parking can be tough so plan to arrive a little early.
